Ivabradine hydrochloride is a first-in-class drug that is selective bradycardic agent with direct effect on the pacemaker If current of the sinoatrial node. It is used for the treatment of chronic coronary artery disease and chronic heart failure. The first-derivative UV-Spectrophotometric method is developed for the estimation of ivabradine hydrochloride in pure and pharmaceutical dosage form. The best selected solvent for derivatization is acetonitrile measuring the analytical response at 278 nm which is the units of distance from central zero baseline. The developed method is linear from 4-20 microgram/ml with coefficient of determination (r2) as 0.997. The Limit of detection and limit of quantification were found to be 1.216 microgram/ml and 3.685 microgram/ml respectively. The developed method is validated according to ICH guidelines. The proposed method is successfully applied for quantitation of Ivabradine Hydrochloride in pharmaceutical dosage form with good recovery and reproducibility. The proposed method is simple and cost effective....
A simple, precise, rapid and accurate HPTLC method has been developed for the estimation of dexamethasone in bulk and pharmaceutical dosage for silica gel precoated aluminum 60 F254 plates, (20 cm x10 cm) with 0.25 mm thickness. These was carried out using ethyl acetate: chloroform (8:2v/v) as mobile phase. The chromatographic scanning was carried out at 254nm. The Rf (±SD) values were found to be 0.38±0.05 for dexamethasone. The linearity for analyte was in the range 100-500 ng/band for dexamethasone with correlation coefficients, r2= 0.9996. The method was validated for linearity, accuracy, precision, LOD, LOQ and robustness. The percentage recovery obtained for dexamethasone was in the range of 99.28-100.13% respectively. The proposed method was optimized and validated as per the ICH guidelines....
